All is Run is an intetfaith running running club based in Montreal, Quebec. We are made up of people from various faiths and spiritualities, including those searching or without an organized faith community.
We believe in the simple power of running to bring us together to learn, to connect, and to inspire each other to be our best and to improve the world. Through group runs, study, social activities, participation in races and fundraising for various causes, we are always working on building community--one step at a time.
Come run with us, and join the journey!
What We Do
Twice a month we meet at various locations around the Montreal area for group runs. Before each run there is an optional group study, where we look at texts from various faith traditions and explore their connection with health, spirituality, peace and contemporary issues. As we get ready to run, a volunteer leads us in a meditation or prayer, and we head off, splitting up as necessary to run with people of a similar pace. Some weeks we will have a theme for the study and the run, and others we will simply enjoy being together.
While many of us run competitively or are training for races, these runs are primarily for spiritual exploration and learning from each other. There are pace groups, but speed is not always the goal. Beginners and people of all skill levels are welcome--walkers too!
We respect the diversity of religious practice and belief, and all our activities are based on the core values of respect, dialogue and learning. Participants agree to speak, listen and run with an open heart. Remember, we are all on this journey together!
As the group grows, we hope that participants will become friends, and not only run together, but get to know each other outside of our scheduled runs. We also hope to plan regular social gatherings, meals, and other opportunities for learning.
How You Can Help
Since the group is still young, we need to continue to do outreach around town and in different faith and spiritual communities. You can volunteer to hang flyers, post on Facebook, and make sure to spread the word.
As the group grows we will work together to create a long-term vision for the group, and plan other programs, fundraisers and races. Please let us know if you interested in helping in any way.
